"Marbles of Darkness Remade" is a modification of Marbles of Darkness 2 which has the paths from Marbles of Darkness 1 in order to combine the levels of the original game with visual and gameplay improvements of the sequel.

It is a simple Marbles of Darkness 2 mod, no code or internal files have been changed, only the plain assets that come with the compiled game. This is also why there is some MoD 2 branding. It currently

Along with using MoD 2 as a base, the changes are

• The paths are remade to fit on the new widescreen window that is wider but vertically shorter. I tried to keep them as close to the original as I could, generally.
• All map backgrounds have been redrawn in MoD 2 style, added some shading and decorations.
• MoD 2 sprites and non-map backgrounds are used, edited hole and logo images.
• Sounds are mostly from vanilla MoD 2, though music and chimes are imported from MoD 1.
• Few map renames: "Sacred Relic" and "Faraway Desert".
• Main menu has been modified. New background, changed loading bar position and game logo.
• It uses the 5-difficulty system similar to MoD 1 with 7 colours. Any settings relating to later difficulties have been removed and the first 4 are available in Practice mode.
• 3 difficulty modes, the same as in MoD 2.

The original Marbles of Darkness has pretty much lost support. It has issues and I don't plan on fixing them. Marbles of Darkness 2 has completely rewritten code that has pretty much always been simply better. My "fix" for MoD 1 was to make a completely game, pretty much.
